Sixth Form students fundraise for Hertfordshire's Young 黄色直播less Charity

Sixth Form students have been fundraising for Hertfordshire’s Young 黄色直播less Charity. Students at school were asked for donations of textbooks at the end of the summer term, and as a result of this request, over 100 textbooks were donated to be sold at a charity sale event. The sale is being held during lunchtimes this week; students have an opportunity to purchase some really useful second-hand books which they can use in their independent study and extra-curricular research.

A Level Psychology Trip to ZSL London Zoo

Our A Level Psychology students recently took part in an engaging and thought-provoking trip to ZSL London Zoo. This visit provided a unique opportunity to explore key psychological concepts in a real-world setting, including behavioural learning theories, and ethical considerations in animal research and conservation. During the visit, students were tasked with applying their psychological knowledge to observe and analyse animal behaviour. They selected an animal and completed a structured activity which asked them to consider the species' characteristics, behavioural patterns, and the potential psychological explanations behind them. This task was completed using an online form and encouraged students to think critically, link theory to practice, and reflect on the role of psychology in understanding both human and animal behaviour. The students showed great enthusiasm and maturity throughout the day, engaging thoughtfully with the exhibits and discussions. We’re proud of how they represented the school and look forward to building on this experience in future lessons.
